Jehovha akati kwaari: “Ndanzwa munyengetero wako nechikumbiro chako chawaita pamberi pangu; temberi iyi yawavaka ndaiita tsvene, nokuisa Zita rangu mairi nokusingaperi. Meso angu nomwoyo wangu zvichavamo nguva dzose. “Zvino iwe, kana ukafamba pamberi pangu nomwoyo wakanaka nokururama, sezvakaitwa naDhavhidhi baba vako, uye ukaita zvose zvandinorayira uye ukatevera mitemo nemirayiro yangu, ndichasimbisa chigaro chako choushe pamusoro peIsraeri nokusingaperi sezvandakavimbisa Dhavhidhi baba vako pandakati, ‘Hapangashayikwi munhu anokutevera pachigaro choushe chaIsraeri.’ “Asi kana mukarega kunditevera, imi kana vana venyu, uye mukarega kuchengeta mirayiro yangu nemitemo yangu yandakaisa pamberi penyu, asi mukaenda kundoshumira vamwe vamwari uye mukavanamata, ipapo ndichaparadza Israeri panyika yandakavapa ndigofuratira temberi iyi yandaita tsvene nokuda kweZita rangu. Kana uriwe, kana ukafamba pamberi pangu sababa vako Dhavhidhi nomwoyo usinganyengeri, nokururama, ukaita zvose zvandakakuraira ukachengeta zvandatema nezvandatonga, ipapo ini ndichasimbisa chigaro chako choushe pakati paIsiraeri nokusingaperi, sezvandakapikira baba vako Dhavhidhi, ndichiti, ‘Haungashaiwi munhu uchagara pachigaro choushe chaIsiraeri.’ Asi kana mukatsauka pakunditevera, imi kana vana venyu, mukasachengeta mirairo yangu nezvandatema zvandakaisa pamberi penyu, asi mukandoshumira vamwe vamwari, mukanamata kwavari; ipapo ndichaparadza Isiraeri panyika yandakavapa; neimba iyi yandakatsaurira zita rangu, ndichairashira kure ndirege kuiona; vaIsiraeri vachava shumo nechiseko pakati pavanhu vose; uye imba iyi kunyange yakakwirira ikadai, vose vanopfuura nayo vachakanuka nokuridza muridzo, vachiti, ‘Jehovha wakaitireiko kudai nenyika ino uye neimba ino?’ Vachapindura, vachiti, ‘Nokuti vakasiya Jehovha Mwari wavo, wakanga abudisa madzibaba avo munyika yeIjipiti, vakanamatira vamwe vamwari, vakanamata kwavari, nokuvashumira; saka Jehovha wakavapinza panjodzi idzi dzose.’ ”

Tenzi akati kwaari, “Munamato wako wawakaita nechichemo chako chawakasvitsa kwandiri ndazvinzwa. Imba iyi yawakavaka ndaiita kuti ive imba inoera uye ndaisa zita rangu pairi nokusingaperi ziso rangu harichabva pairi, uyewo mwoyo wangu ucharamba uri pairi. Chako iwe dai zvako ukangofamba nemandakatema sezvaiita baba vako Dhavhidhi wakatendeseka uri pachokwadi uchiita naimomo mandakati uite uchichengeta mirao nezvirevo zvangu kana wadaro ndichaita kuti umambo hwako hwokwaIsiraeri hudzike midzi narini wose. Sokutsidzira kwandakaita baba vako Dhavhidhi ndichiti, ‘Hazvichafa zvakamboitika kuti ini ndishaye munhu womumba mako wokuzogara pachigaro choumambo.’ Asi kana mukazotsauka, zviye zvokunyatsoenda mutome zvenyu, vangave iyemi kana vana venyu morega zvenyu kuchengeta mitemo yangu nemirao yangu yandakakupai mava kundonamata vamwe vamwari muchivapfugamira, iniwo ndopandichaparadza vaIsiraeri panyika yandakavapa. Kanawo iyo imba iyoyi yandaeresera nezita rangu ndichaiparadza zvokusamboda kuzoionazve mumaziso angu. Isiraeri inozova tsumo yavanhu nechiseko chenyika mukati memarudzi ose. Kunyangewo imba iyoyi yakati dzu-u kureba, vapfuuri venzira vachanyatsoti kanha kunana vachishamiswa. Vachatozvimvunzawo vachiti, ‘Ko Tenzi chakaadariro nyika ino nemba iyi chii?’ Ivo vachati, ‘Pamusana pokuti vakafuratira Tenzi, Mwari wavo akaburitsa madzitateguru avo kuIjipiti ndokuti memete navamwe vamwari vovapfugamira vachivanamata. Ndokusaka Tenzi akavapinza munyatwa yose iyi.’ ”
