The Jesus Adventure

DAY 3 OF 7

God has planned amazing things. Most people never see it, but we don’t want to miss them! We’re adventurers with hungry hearts, willing to dare God to do what He has promised! For this reason, it’s important to pray now and ask God for the courage to go forward.

Take a moment as we start today to ask God to give you enough faith in Jesus, and then trust Him for it. With Jesus, admitting that you lack faith is enough evidence of faith for God to answer you.

Jesus taught that “with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26, KJV). He even prayed this on the last night before He was crucified. But most people only see limitations. By adulthood, we learn that this life is filled with impossible situations, and we feel powerless to change any of them.

Many give up believing that the most difficult things won’t change at all.

But as apprentices of Jesus, we see the ways of the Spirit, and we know from Jesus that “with God all things are possible,” so we are called to be world changers. With childlike faith, many have overcome incredible odds. So, we can face the impossible because we have a God greater than all things.

In the vast mystery of God, we discover His greater plans, and Jesus leads us to discover His power, which we experience when we abide in Him. We experience the impossible and He shows us that God will do it. Jesus gives us the faith to believe, and He gives us the answer to that faith when we do what He teaches. It is vital to learn and do what He teaches so that we can experience the adventure the Father has prepared.

God is good all the time. He is flowing with grace and gives all the time. The air we breathe? The world we live in? The rain that falls to water the land? All of it is sustained by the hand of God. We do not motivate God; God is always motivated! God is always love. He doesn’t have love; He is Love (see 1 John 4:7-12).

As the prime mover of all creation and the prime motivator for all goodness, God wants us to trust Him. He gives abundantly to those who live by faith in Him. Remember that God always offers grace and peace, so He favors those who humble themselves to Him. He destroys the authority of chaos over our lives.
