WEEK THREE: LIVE LIFE PURPOSEFULLY

Day 15

Jesus’ withdrawal to daily prayer is what drew the line between good and excellent. This solitary space kept His priorities in order. The disciples came to him with ‘a good idea’ to go back into the town and continue ministry there, but Jesus said no. He has a greater goal and a higher assignment to reach the lost God’s way. He shows us His total focus on the bigger picture, refusing to be distracted even by the good things.

Distractions from our God-given task can come in many forms, even other ‘good works.’ Take a moment and refocus; get time alone with God as Jesus did. Ask God to reveal to you His priority for your day, your week, your job, and your family.
