How to Redeem Your Time

DAY 2 OF 9

Understanding God's Will

Being at the center of God's will is the only way to live time without wasting even a moment of your life. The very concept of sin, considering the corresponding Greek word used in the New Testament, "hamartia," represents precisely a failure to hit the target, that is, not hitting the will of God.

All this does not only concern obedience to the Law and divine commandments but also having to do what God personally requires of each of us. He has a wonderful plan for us, "thoughts of good and not of evil," to give us "a future and a hope." Therefore, deviating from this plan means losing precious time and opportunities for blessings.

Very often, these deviations from His plan are not voluntary and deliberate but arise from acting lightly and from a lack of commitment to really understanding what God wants us to do. On the other hand, His will is not so difficult to understand if we are willing to listen to His voice or simply wait for His timing.

It is not even difficult to apply because it does not rely on our own strength but on the strength of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us and gives us supernatural power.

What should we do then? Offer our lives to God as a living sacrifice, not conform to the world, allowing Him to renew our minds and knowing by experience His will, which is good, acceptable, and perfect.

But in Christ, we have the possibility to use the present time in the best way, recovering through faith every moment of our life and spending it in the abundance of God's blessing. How is this possible?
