3 Steps to Write Your Testimony of FaithSample
Step 3. Your life with Christ
Lastly, let’s think about your life today – how your new life with Jesus compares to your old way of thinking. What changed?
Here we go. Once again, with the genericized example of Roland’s own experience:
1. What changes did you see in your life, actions, attitudes, problems?
I became more relaxed (or tried to anyway!).
I think (hope) that I became a more friendly guy.
I found myself caring more about others.
I even wanted to start helping others more.
The ideas of job position and money became less important.
I trusted God even more than before that all would be OK.
2. How long did it take before you noticed changes (honestly)?
The process of change took about five years.
And it is still ongoing.
What about you?
Reflect on your life with Christ today as you consider the questions above. Make a few notes about your experience, and get ready to let us help you build your testimony using our online form.
Next Steps
Using this reading plan as a guide, we want to help you write out your testimony in a form that you can easily share – remember 1 Peter 3:15?
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
So when you are ready, gather your notes and visit the God and Work Testimony page at www.GodandWork.org/testimony. At this link, you can also download a blank form with sample 30-second, 1-minute, and 2-minute testimonies produced from the sample answers used in this reading plan to see how it works.
We hope this reading plan has been a blessing to you – for additional reading plans by this author, search for “Roland Heersink” in the YouVersion app.
Blessings to you!
About this Plan
The Bible tells us to always be prepared to give an answer about our faith to everyone who asks (1 Peter 3:15). But writing a testimony is difficult and most of us have never done it. With this reading plan, we want to change that and also help write your testimony of faith. Read this plan, and then visit our website listed at the end of Day 4 of the reading plan to get started.
