Achieving Victory With JesusSample

Achieving Victory With Jesus

DAY 2 OF 14

Nothing less than full victory

“In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37)

The life of a Christian is often described as a race. Within this imagery, the life goal of every believer is to win.

Athletes who compete in a race undergo strict training and give their absolute best to receive the prize. The apostle Paul uses this example to exhort believers to discipline their bodies, obey the rules of the race, keep running, and win.

In a battle, to win means to conquer the enemy. For believers, this means to conquer Satan. They can’t do this by themselves. But they are able to gain victory over Satan “by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11). For Jesus has already conquered His ultimate enemy, and we may share in His victory.

Some believers may die for their faith. Others experience tribulation, distress, or danger. However, this does not make them any less victorious. Physical death is not the end. Indeed, “not loving your life even unto death” is a clear sign of one’s devotion to Jesus Christ! If you remain faithful to Jesus, you will win.

Can you understand how one can be victorious despite being killed in the battle?

About this Plan

Achieving Victory With Jesus

In various parts of the Bible, Jesus Christ draws our attention toward the blessings He has in store for believers who endure to the end. These promises are meant to encourage us to “run with endurance the race that is set before us”. For if we do so, we will achieve victory with Jesus!
