Reading With the People of God - #6 LOVESample

Reading With the People of God - #6 LOVE

DAY 16 OF 31

Memorization Challenge: 1 Corinthians 13:8-10

Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away

Reading Primer: Living by Divine Truth and Grace

Today's readings invite us to reflect on living by God's truth and grace. In Psalm 19, David marvels at the majesty of God’s creation and the perfection of His law. This psalm reveals how God’s creation and His Word guide us, providing wisdom and joy for those who seek Him.

Deuteronomy 23 addresses various laws that emphasize purity and righteousness within the community. These guidelines teach us the importance of living with integrity and ensuring our actions reflect our commitment to God's standards.

In 2 Corinthians 3, Paul contrasts the old covenant with the new covenant of grace through Christ. He speaks about how the Spirit transforms us and writes God’s laws on our hearts, empowering us to live with greater freedom and authenticity.

These passages remind us to honor God’s truth in our lives, live with integrity, and embrace the transformative power of His grace.

Prayer of Illumination:
Heavenly Father, as we immerse ourselves in Your Word, open our hearts to Your divine truth and grace. Help us understand and apply Your teachings, live with integrity, and allow Your Spirit to transform us. Guide us to reflect Your love and truth in all we do. In Jesus' name, Amen.

About this Plan

Reading With the People of God - #6 LOVE

This is the sixth part of a reading plan through the Bible, following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, each day this month will feature a memorization challenge for 1 Corinthians 13 (The Love Chapter), and there will be brief devotionals from different people in our Church scattered throughout the plan.
