Clarifying Roles & Responsibilities God’s Way

DAY 1 OF 4

Clarifying Roles & Responsibilities God’s Way: Part I

A common challenge for small businesses is clarifying roles and responsibilities for each team member. This can cause confusion for staff as to their primary role and related responsibilities.

Fortunately, God proved through Moses and the Israelites that He was a master at establishing and clarifying roles and responsibilities. God understands that providing order to your team can be the difference between success and failure.

In 2 Chronicles 27 we read, “So Jotham became mighty because he ordered his ways before the Lord his God.” King Jotham was considered “right in the eyes of the Lord” and he experienced the success that comes from providing order.

The God of Israel is a God of order. He stitched order and rhythm into the fabric of the universe in Genesis. His creation, therefore, operates best under a set order and has the most success when the order is in compliance with the Lord’s principles.

A well-developed business is a well-ordered business. In this series, I want to highlight some principles we can learn from when God established roles and responsibilities for the Israelites after leaving Egypt. Join me next time to learn more about clarifying roles and responsibilities.

Questions for Reflection

  • What is order? What order is necessary in your business or personal life? What order is unnecessary or superfluous? What goals are you attempting to achieve with said order?
  • What is your role? What day-to-day things do leaders have to be accountable for? Do you need to take on more, less, or are you at a good spot?
Dan 2
