Kingdom Impact: The Power of the 4 W's

DAY 2 OF 4

WISDOM:

Bible Verse: “The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight.” Proverbs 4:7 (ESV)

Wisdom isn't just about knowledge; it's about applying that knowledge in a way that honors God and benefits others. It's like having a map that not only shows you where you're going but also helps you navigate the twists and turns along the way.

In the Bible, the word fear often translates to reverence, meaning a profound respect and awe for God's power, holiness, and authority. This type of fear is not about being terrified but rather about honoring God with humility and recognizing His power and rightful place in our lives.

But where do we find wisdom? Well, it starts with fear of the Lord, a deep respect and reverence for His power and holiness.

1.When we fear the Lord, we're more likely to seek His guidance and wisdom in all that we do.

And how do we seek wisdom?

It is simple: we spend time in His Word and are obedient to it, even when we don’t fully understand. We study the Bible, meditate on its truths, and trust in God's guidance, allowing His wisdom to shape our thoughts and actions, knowing that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9).

When we do this, we are not just learning information; we are gaining a deeper understanding of God's character and His plan for our lives.

Wisdom is valuable to possess, but when put into action, it becomes truly impactful.

2.Wisdom requires action.

So, the next time you are facing a tough decision, remember not to rely on your understanding. Seek wisdom from the One who knows best. Spend time in His Word, pray for guidance, and trust that He will lead you in the right direction.

Reflection Questions:

In what areas of your life are you relying on your understanding instead of seeking God's wisdom, and how can you take action to pursue His guidance more intentionally?
