The Book of MarkSample
“And he answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” And looking about at those who sat around him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.”” - Mark 3:33-35 ESV
This Chapter is full of excitement and big scenes for Jesus, but what stands out to me the most is that He calls those who follow Him family. Not only does He call us family, but He treats us like family as well. Jesus is willing to “break the rules” with religious people to make sure we are healed. He is willing to make Himself look unorthodox for you to feel welcome. I think Jesus really does care more about us than we could ever imagine.
Questions for today:
Have you ever thought of yourself as a part of God’s family? Do you think of your fellow Christians as family too?
Prayer:
Father in the Mighty name of Jesus, I pray that today ill see You and Your people as a family! Lord, help us treat others and ourselves as members of one family! In Jesus name, Amen.
