Learning to Be Vulnerable

DAY 5 OF 5

CIRCUMSTANCES

“Your daughter is dead.." (Mark 5:35) - Jairus' daughter had already died. What was the point? Had Jesus taken too long?

Life can present tough challenges at times, can't it? There are moments when everything seems to go wrong: difficulties, sadness, losses, unemployment, changes... Yet, even in those seemingly hopeless times, Jesus remains the answer. He transcends the logic of this world. What appears overwhelming and keeps us awake at night is very small compared to our God. The circumstances of life may try to stop us, tempt us to give up, or shake our faith, but they cannot prevail before Jesus.

“Why bother the teacher anymore?” (Mark 5:35) - Are we a burden to Jesus?

We don't bother Him. You are not a burden to Him. He wants you to come before Him with all your burdens so He can work in your life. Even though many may say you're beyond help, that the battle is lost, remember: Jesus has overcome the world. Go ahead, ask for forgiveness, don't look back. No matter how far you've gone, come back; Jesus is still waiting in the same place. You have worth! You are precious to God.

Ignoring what they said, Jesus told the synagogue leader, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” (Mark 5:36)

Jesus reassured Jairus, urging him not to fear but to believe despite the circumstances. Believe. Don't let the challenges of life hinder God's work in your life.

“Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” '(Mark 5:34)

Jesus knew the hearts of Jairus and the woman with the issue of blood. Jesus acted according to their hearts. The woman had faith, and Jairus believed. The woman and Jairus' daughter were healed.

God knows what's going on in our hearts. He knows who has faith in Him, who is afraid, and who is repentant. He knows what we've been thinking lately, what we do, and why we're distant. God knows our enemies, sees our battles, and collects our tears. God knows us. And so we have two options: we either continue hiding behind our defense mechanisms or we surrender and become vulnerable before Him.

God desires to work in your life comprehensively, not just in the parts you reveal; He seeks to transform every aspect of your being. You are important to God, and there's no better place to be than sincerely in His presence. Don't hide, don't make excuses, don't be afraid... surrender. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Cry out, pray, fast.

God wants to search your heart, pour His balm on your wounds, and cleanse your iniquities. Disable all your defense mechanisms, leave your pride behind, surrender your life to God, and let Him heal your soul.

Dan 4

About this Plan

Learning to Be Vulnerable

In our society, we are often labeled as not good enough. We hide behind fear, shame, and create various defense mechanisms. The truth is, while we need to protect ourselves in this world, there's a place where we must learn to be vulnerable: in the presence of Jesus Christ.
