To Begin AgainSample
Through the Spirit, we have the opportunity to dive in to a new life and enjoy a freedom from every missed expectation and disappointment, every wrong choice. In Isaiah, the prophet says we can replace that spirit of heaviness, which could be disappointments or sins, and exchange them for “the garment of praise” (61:3). When we allow ourselves to be transformed by God, we can “lay aside every weight” (Hebrews 12:1) and finish our journeys unhindered as “new creations” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
The scriptures list many names by which we can be called. “Sons and daughters, children of promise,” and “beloved” are just a few names that we can answer to. Our identity is in direct relation to the Father. We have belonging, a family, and a Father who dearly loves us and calls us by name and invites us to His family. Remember that in His house there are many rooms. There is room for you and me to freely seek comfort, counsel and love.
