Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year One

And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him (Revelation 22:3).

Are you anticipating the removal of God's curse on the Earth?

God tells Adam, "Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it': Cursed is the ground for your sake" (Genesis 3:17). Creation is personified in Romans 8 awaiting the curse to be lifted. "For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly awaits for the revealing of the sons of God," writes Paul (Romans 8:19). Although there is a restoration of the earth during the millennial kingdom, the curse is not fully lifted. Isaiah writes about this time, "But the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed" (Isaiah 65:20). The glorious New Jerusalem contains no curse!

Employment Point: Worship and serve the Lord, awaiting the final removal of the curse.

Dan 364
