Qualifying to Work With God (Criteria for Divine Partnership)Sample
ALWAYS DO THINGS FOR THE RIGHT REASONS
Whatever you do in the kingdom, you must ensure you do it for the right reasons. God judges our motives faster than our actions. God is concerned with the why behind our actions. Our reasons must tally with God's own reasons. Sometimes, we make a request from God that may not tally with God's own reason for doing the same thing.
If you look at Hannah in the Bible, she asked for a son not because she had a revelation of God's purpose at that time. God had set his eye on Hannah to give birth to the next major prophet and judge in Israel, but Hannah didn't know that. You could be chosen without knowing that you are chosen, and you could be agitating for things that God intends to do in your life in the wrong way.
When Hannah said, "God, give me a son, and I'll give the son back to you," God said, "Yes, now our purposes have coincided.” I want a son whose development I can control. I am looking for a prophet, and I have chosen you to give me that prophet." But she didn't know what she was chosen for; she was trying to take her identity from her barrenness instead of taking her identity from her choice in God.
Prov. 20:6 says, "Every man proclaims his own goodness: a faithful man who can find?" You may proclaim your own goodness, but God weighs the actions. When God weighs our actions, He weighs the motives behind them.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to align my will daily with your will and to always settle for your Will above mine.
