Seeking God in Worship

DAY 5 OF 8

We should worship God when we’re feeling good and when we’re down in the dumps!
The words “contrite” and “lowly” are translated from Hebrew words that mean, “crushed, bruised, broken, or depressed.”

When I am feeling really down, I like to go to a quiet place and worship God as my Hiding Place and Lifter of My Head.

True worship comes from a sincere, humble heart and a broken, yielded spirit. A heart that walks in the truth, obeying God’s laws out of love for Him. A heart that has come to the realization, that apart from God there is no hope. He deserves our all – all our heart’s affection, mind’s capacity, multi-faceted emotions, and physical strength!

Romans 12:1-2 NIV84 states, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship.”

Read 1 Chronicles 29 and look at how worship is a whole-life expression.
In what ways do you respond to God in worship? Meditate on this question. Consider writing down your thoughts.
