Day 13: From Surviving to Thriving:
You were made not just to survive, but to thrive and be fruitful. That doesn’t mean that you won’t face storms or challenges in this life, but it does mean that in the midst of the challenges, you can still thrive. You were made to flourish!

Just like a palm tree, you have the ability to “bounce back” on the inside and flourish, because the same spirit that raised Christ lives in you! Psalm 92:12-15 (AMP) says:

The righteous will flourish like the date palm [long-lived, upright and useful]; They will grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic and stable]. Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. [Growing in grace] they will still thrive and bear fruit and prosper in old age; They will flourish and be vital and fresh [rich in trust and love and contentment]; [They are living memorials] to declare that the Lord is upright and faithful [to His promises]; He is my rock, and There is no evil in Him!

This is what we are called to do, no matter what the enemy tries to bring against us. We keep on bouncing back like the palm tree; we stay strong, remain fruitful, and are a testimony of God’s faithfulness!

I am reminded of the story of Jesus and his disciples when they faced a storm in Mark 4:35-41 (ESV):

“On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, ‘Let us go across to the other side.’ And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, ‘Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?’ And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, ‘Peace! Be still!’ And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, ‘Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?’And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, ‘Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?’”

Remember these keys: Jesus is with you, speak peace to the storm, and people are waiting for you! Be encouraged today knowing that God is with you, He is for you and He will give you the grace to overcome whatever storm you may face!
