Men Ought Always to PraySample
He Is Our Banner.
”Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, That it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.” Psalm 60:4 KJV
For Christ is our Banner. According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for ‘Banner’, found in Psalm 60:4 KJV, is ‘nēs’ (H5251) which means: “Something lifted up, standard, signal, signal pole, ensign, banner, sign, sail, standard (as rallying point), signal, standard (pole), ensign”
May the Lord set His Standard upon your heart. May His Standard serve as your life’s rallying point. May His Banner be your signature. May every enemy that tries to rise up against you bow and flee.
For the Amplified Version expounds upon Psalm 60:4 AMPC in the following manner, “[But now] You have set up a banner for those who fear and worshipfully revere You [to which they may flee from the bow], a standard displayed because of the truth. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!“ Psalm 60:4 AMPC.
In the face of attack, may the Banner of God wave over you. “But you have raised a banner for those who fear you— a rallying point in the face of attack. Interlude“ Psalms 60:4 NLT.
May the Banner of God send a signal to the enemy to flee. May he flee from your finances. May he flee from your family. May he flee from your home. May he flee from your health. May he flee from your wealth. May our Living God coat and cover every area of your life.
Amen.
