I Have Faith for ThisSample
DAY 6 – Intimidation and Fear
In 1 Samuel 17:33, “Saul replied, there's no way you can fight this Philistine and possibly win. You're only a boy and he's a man of war since his youth.” When David put his hand up to fight Goliath, even his own brothers accused him of being prideful and deceitful! However, David does not give in to this intimidation, fear, or accusation.
This is what our spiritual enemy does; he accuses us and says things like, “You're not good enough”. I want to say to you, if we're going to march forward and always say, “I have faith for this”, we cannot give in to intimidation, fear, or accusation. Whenever you feel it, you have to recognise it, because if you recognise it, then through the Spirit of God you'll be able to overcome it. I want to encourage us all: we're not giving into fear!
We've got a big job to do. Australia needs Jesus! The world needs Jesus. Nations need to be turned around. People need hope. People need answers. People need life. People need the light of God to shine into their homes and their families and their hearts. People have lost direction.
If we bow down to fear and intimidation and accusation, we're not going to be able to give the world what it needs. So, I want to encourage us; let's say “I have faith for this” and keep rising up and marching into what God has for us.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that I can stand in victory because of what Jesus has done on the cross. I am grateful that I don’t need to live in fear or intimidation, but that I can step forward confidently into the mission you have given me to shine Your light in the world. I pray for those who are filled with fear, that they may be filled with Your love, power, and a sound mind.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
