Faith-Based Ways to Navigate Financial Uncertainty

DAY 2 OF 3

On the first day of this devotional we discussed a fundamental truth: money makes the world go round, and when you don’t have enough of it when you need it, it’s stressful.

I shared one way to quiet your spirit and that was to lean into the Word of God. That’s one surefire way to speak louder than your fears. The power of God emanates from the Bible. It’s His gift to us. A holy compass of sorts.

Today, we’ll dive into the next tip. Lean into your community. If you’ve ever heard the expression “closed mouths don’t get fed” you’ll understand why.

We’re part of a community. We’re Christians. We belong not just to a biological family, but also to a church family. You’re not meant to walk through this life alone.

When you’re experiencing finance-related stress, the last thing you want to do is isolate yourself. How can people help you if you don’t reach out?

Let people surprise you. Let people show up for you. Even if it’s non-monetarily! Ego, pride, those won’t get you far.

Did you know that everyone on my team has access to my personal financial advisor? We need to have these conversations. Nothing can be resolved if it’s not addressed.

My prayer for you is if you’re struggling to ask for help that you remember you are loved unconditionally by the Creator. Walk steady and sure knowing that He holds you every step of the way.

Take a moment to reflect on this verse before continuing with your day.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. -Matthew 7:7-11
