THE LAW OF DIFFERENCES IN MARRIAGE (2)
1 Corinthians 12:14-21; Genesis 2:24
These are some of the ways you can deal with differences between you and your spouse.
(1) Recognise your differences.
(2) Understand your differences.
(3) Accept your differences.
(4) Celebrate your differences. A wise man as the leader in the home will delegate responsibilities around strengths and differences.
(5) Accentuate the positives in your differences.
(6) It is the law of differences that produces complementation in marriage.
If you are correctly married, you will find it true that you are strong where your wife is weak and your wife will be strong where you are weak; you will fit and balance each other out. You will not be able to complement each other if all you emphasise are the negatives.
Attacking each other based on your differences will not produce a complementary life. Most of the problems people face in marriage are centred on their differences. Most times, we have not adequately recognised the differences in strength between men and women or celebrated them. We should accentuate the positives more than we currently do. Instead of making an issue out of the fact that your spouse is too forgetful, you should understand that about him/her and cover it with your strength.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to properly respect the Law of Differences. Help me to appreciate my spouse for whom You made him/her to be. Amen!

About this Plan
Too many people today do little or no preparation when it comes to marriage; instead focusing their energy on a one-day wedding event! The Bible says, "Two are better than one, for they have a better reward!" For these results and rewards to follow your marriage, there is a preparation phase before marriage because it is when preparation and opportunity meet together that destinies happen.
