The Law of Process

DAY 7 OF 8

Caleb and The Law of Process

When the children of Israel reached the promised land, Moses sent twelve spies to explore the land of Canaan. Among them was Caleb, a man of faith and unwavering trust in God.

After forty days of scouting, the spies returned with a mixed report. While most focused on the giants and fortified cities, Caleb saw beyond the challenges, believing in God’s promise.

Caleb understood that the fulfillment of God’s promises required patience and perseverance. For forty years, he waited in the wilderness, trusting that God would lead them to the land of milk and honey. Caleb’s faith expressed itself in his patience, an essential quality of The Law of Process.

Joshua 14:8 describes Caleb as having a “different spirit.” He didn’t allow the report of the other spies discourage him. Instead, he held onto the promises of God, remaining steadfast in his faith. Caleb’s unwavering spirit serves as an example for us to stay focused on God’s faithfulness, regardless of the circumstances.

Caleb declared, “So here I am today, eighty-five years old! I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I’m just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then.”

Caleb’s faith in God demonstrates The Law of Process in action.

In Joshua 14:12, Caleb said, “Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the Lord helping me, I will drive them out just as he said.”

Caleb’s obedience and trust in God positioned him to receive his portion of the promised land.

Caleb’s life displays the importance of The Law of Process. Just as Caleb patiently waited and remained faithful to God’s promises, we too must hold onto God’s faithfulness. The challenges we face shouldn’t discourage us, but serve as opportunities for growth and development. As we walk in obedience and trust, God will fulfill His promises in due time.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Caleb and his unwavering faith. Help us embrace The Law of Process in our lives, trusting in Your timing and faithfulness. Strengthen our patience, increase our trust, and give us the courage to walk in obedience. We believe that as we embrace the process, You will fulfill Your promises in our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.
