Boasting in the CrossSample
What happens when we boast on the cross?
'May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world'. Galatians 6:14
1. We remember our Creator
We make it a point to remember our Creator in all aspects of our lives. We understand that everything belongs to Him, and every blessing we receive flows from His divine grace. Our hearts are continually filled with gratitude for the profound sacrifice and love that God has bestowed upon us through Christ on the cross. In our remembrance, we acknowledge that all that we possess, all that we enjoy, and all that we are is a gift from the Almighty.
Psalm 111:4 'He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful'.
2. Our walk with God becomes intentional
We approach our walk with God with unwavering commitment and sincerity. This commitment is evident in our actions:
a) We diligently obey the commands of the Lord, recognizing that His guidance is the path to righteous living.
b) We steadfastly abide in the Lord, seeking His presence and drawing strength from our intimate relationship with Him.
c) Genuine repentance is at the core of our faith journey. We humbly acknowledge our shortcomings and turn to God with contrite hearts, seeking His forgiveness and guidance.
d) Our dedication extends to the gospel and its transformative work. We are deeply serious about spreading the message of salvation and actively participating in the redemptive mission of Christ. Amen.
Prayer:
Dear God, help me walk with you intentionally. Guide me to seek your kingdom above all else. Amen.
