Day Seven: Power on Display

A part of walking in victory in our daily lives is understanding the power and authority that has been given to us by Christ Jesus. Luke 10:19 says: “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.” ‭‭The Holy Spirit empowers the people of God to walk in a manner worthy of the calling we have received. In 2 Timothy chapter 3, Paul warns Timothy that in the last days there will be godlessness and difficult times. 2 Timothy 3:5 says: “having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”‬ The Lord is calling us to believe that anything is possible once again and to be people who not only have the appearance of godliness, but also have the power of God displayed in our lives through faith in Jesus.

Ephesians 1:19-20 says: “I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.”

May you walk in the knowledge of God and have the power of God displayed in every area of your life by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. May you go from victory to victory and build your life on Christ the solid rock, which is unshakable.
