Worth SharingSample
Posting on social media is often a calculated risk. We might worry about what others think, who will leave comments, or if anyone will like it at all. But every time we post, we're also showing the world who we are and what we like, despite how vulnerable we may feel.
Samuel faced something similar after God asked him to find Israel a new king. Saul was Israel's first king, but things weren't going so well. The final straw was when Saul disobeyed God, so Samuel was sent to find someone who could eventually take the throne. Samuel knew if Saul found out, it wouldn't go well, but God gave him a calling, and he needed to take a risk.
Whenever we share our faith with others, it can feel like a risk. We can't always be certain how people will respond to what we say. We might get rejected, lose a friend, or forget what we were saying. But, we might also help someone encounter Jesus and the way God cares about them. Either way, God invites us to take a risk and share our faith in an act of love. Samuel's love for God is what gave him the courage to trust and follow God's lead. For you, it might look like telling someone about Jesus or having a conversation about what you've been learning lately. No matter how you start talking about your faith, it still takes trust, love, and faith. Remember sharing the Good News sometimes requires risk.
