All for the Glory of God

"These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God". Titus 2:3-4 NLT

What does it mean to not bring shame on the word of God?

Our family and homes are wonderful ways we can be a shining light in an ever-darkening world. God has designed this beautiful dynamic to showcase His attributes to those around us. When we as sisters band together to teach, edify, and empower one another, we bring God glory. Our lives radiate in light, directing others to the Light, Jesus Christ.

We have this beautiful responsibility to emulate the relationship between Christ and the Church in the setting of our family. We do this so we don’t give an unbeliever any reason to accuse or use us as an excuse to defame God.

When we train and mentor one another to live a life of love, to live with wisdom and purity, to look well to the ways of our house, to do good and be good in our communities, to submit to our husbands as unto the Lord, we bring great delight and glory to our Heavenly Father (Titus 2:3-4).

Prayer: Father God, I thank You for Your Word that brings life and light to a dark and hurting world. I pray, Father, that You would stir in me a desire and empower me to live a life marked by love, to live wisely, in purity, to look well to the ways of my house, to do good, to submit to my husband, so that my life may bring You glory and praise. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
