Our Modern Warfare (Part 2)

DAY 7 OF 7

Battle on Our Knees

By studying the life of Daniel, we can learn how to be a relentless warrior for God. Daniel bowed in prayer to God three times a day: morning, noon, and night. He was bold and unapologetic in his devotion to God, and because of that, God raised him up to do many unbelievable tasks for Him.

Daniel was a fierce warrior for God on his knees. We learn in Daniel 10 that when Daniel began to pray for understanding after a vision of a coming war, he fasted for 21 days. At the beginning of the fast, God sent an angel to go and explain the vision to Daniel, but the angel ran into some serious spiritual opposition. The enemy detained this angel in a spiritual battle for 21 days. God then sent His archangel Michael to help win this battle. Once Michael got there, this angel was then able to leave the battle and go to Daniel in order to explain the vision.

During the 21-day fast, Daniel humbled himself before God and continued to pray three times a day, just like he had always done. Daniel was completely unaware of the battle that was raging in the heavenly realm all because of his prayers! God sent His mightiest angel to fight for Daniel, which to me shows that Daniel truly was a mighty warrior for God.

Just imagine what your life would look like if you made prayer a priority like Daniel did.

I love this story because it shows us that in order to take the victory, it’s not always up to us speaking against our enemy. Some of the biggest battles we are going to experience can only be won on our knees before God. If we want God to fight for us and with us, then we must make prayer our number one priority. Prayer activates our armor, and without it we are vulnerable to the enemy.

God has given us our armor so we can defend ourselves, but if we don’t make putting our armor on every single day a priority, it will be completely useless to us. Our God has already defeated our enemy by winning the war, but the outcome of the battles is in our hands.

What will your response be?

About this Plan

Our Modern Warfare (Part 2)

God didn’t leave His daughters to face a viscous enemy alone. He’s given us His very own armor so we can experience victory over the enemy. Jesus’ blood has already won the war, freeing us from the power of the enemy, but few are living within this freedom. This plan will give specific examples on how God’s Word teaches His warriors to wear their armor and fight back.
