The Process

DAY 7 OF 7

Day 7: Fulfillment of the Promise:

Congratulations! You’ve made it to the final day in The Process Plan. I pray that over these seven days, you have been re-filled with hope about the promises of God coming to fruition.

On our final day, we are discussing when the promise is fulfilled.

Our life can be broken up and viewed as different seasons. It is not always spring or summer. There will be seasons when we lose our leaves, and we may feel exposed and bare. But these leaves are removed to make room for new, fresh leaves, and the old leaves of the previous season will not help once spring comes. In the winter, things seem to stand still. There is no progress, no movement, or so it would seem. It can even be a bit depressing. There is nothing spectacular and certainly no fruit. However, a process takes place deep down on the inside, invisible to others and sometimes even ourselves. This process prepares us for a new life, the new season.

Once spring arrives, it becomes clear what has been happening in secret during the winter season. Suddenly the sun feels warmer, the skies seem brighter, and new life and opportunities are released. In the summer season in our lives, we enjoy the fruit, the luscious green pastures, and the flowers. So our lives can be viewed through the lens of cycles. Just as there are four seasons every year, in the same way, there are four seasons in the cycle of our processes. Like a tree, we become stronger during the seasons; our roots go deeper into the soil so that, like older trees, we can survive any kind of storm. Spiritually we will look more like Jesus as we go through the seasons of life.

The different seasons in your process cycle:

1) You receive a prophetic word or promise over your life. This is a declaration of God’s intentions and plans for your life. A prophetic message from God speaks about your destiny, future, and who you will be (Jeremiah 29:11).

2) The prophetic word is being tested, and there is distress. These words of God lead you into a season that challenges you, in which God is working in your heart to remove all the things that do not belong there. It can seem as though everything that provided security before is now shaken and removed. This is a rough and tumble season, a season of strong winds. This can be painful too, but these things are necessary for the next season.

3) The development of your character. Everything in your life that prevents the anointing from flowing, every obstacle and every hindrance, must be dealt with. This plunges you into a season of distress in which God is working to develop your character. Distress and development often go hand in hand. Sometimes we get so hung up in our distress that we do not allow God to develop us. The development is needed, though, to reach our calling. Once you have gone through this, you will look back and see that even the trauma caused by all of this will be part of your testimony. When there has been enough development, the final part of the process is reached, namely, demonstration.

4) The manifestation of the prophetic word (Psalm 145:13). This demonstrates everything that God has said over your life before all of this started and the manifestation of the changes that the process has brought about in you and your character. This is the joyous celebration of you starting to inherit your destiny.

I am convinced that when you have learned well in your first cycle of seasons, the next seasons are easily recognizable and perhaps even easier to navigate. Your character is formed, you have ripened, you are experienced, you wrote history with God, and now you can truly say, “I am a friend of God.” Through all the seasons of testing and trials, you learn and experience what it is like to go from a slave to being a son, and from being a son, you grow into being a father for others, representing God the Father for the next generation.

Thank you so much for joining me on this 7-day journey.
