Connecting With God Through Prayer

DAY 2 OF 5

Now all we can do is pray…

"Now all we can do is hope..." Have you heard this phrase before? It describes a situation in which, humanly speaking, nothing more is possible…one can only hope for a miracle.

I'm sure you've also probably heard people say, "Now all we can do is pray. We need a miracle!" This is another situation where nothing more can be done from a human perspective.

The important difference, however, is that we should not only hope, which is passive, but pray! Prayer is active participation. When we pray, something significant changes. We no longer hope randomly—we hope in God, and whoever hopes in God will experience miracles!

"…our hope is in the living God…" (1 Timothy 4:10, NLT).

There's another verse in the Bible that you've probably heard before, but today, I pray you find yourself understanding it in a whole new way:

"'Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.'" (Mark 11:24, NKJV)

This verse tells you that after you pray, your hope does not end. After you've formed a prayer in hope, you get to BELIEVE that something will happen! Wow.

When did you stop praying for your miracle? Please understand and believe anew that miracles happen when we pray for them! Don't pray just because your circumstances say, "Now all you can do is pray." You're praying because you know God will not disappoint your hopes, as Romans 5:5 says: "And this hope will not lead to disappointment…" (Romans 5:5, NLT).

May I share another tip with you today? Prayerfully take a step back from your current circumstance because it, too, is 100% in God's hands!

Hope - Pray - Believe!

You are a miracle!
