Becoming a Son That Pleases the Father

DAY 24 OF 30

GOING ALL THE WAY WITH GOD

Let’s look at today’s text:

Daniel 3:17 -18

17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

At the risk of being thrown into a furnace of fire, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego told the king that God was able to save them. This was a settled matter for them. However, if God chose not to save them for any reason whatsoever, they would still not bow to the king’s idol. So, what happened next? God did not send an angel, He appeared Himself. Note this: you will move God when you let man, the devil, and God Himself know that you are completely sold out to the will of God, no matter what.

Christians these days have built a “God is good” doctrine that is centred on what He does for them. This is a weak form of Christianity. You must not let the devil paralyse your Christian walk with the fear of unanswered prayers. Let the devil know that you will continue to serve God till Jesus comes, even if you don’t get that baby or the job you had been praying for. You must be convinced that if God hasn’t yet provided what you are asking, He has a greater plan, a higher plan that is exceeding, abundantly, more than you can ask, think, or imagine. You will lose God once your walk with Him is conditional.

PRAYER: Lord, I resolve to continue serving You like the three Hebrew boys. I will entertain no fear of unanswered prayers in Jesus’ name. Amen!
