Becoming a Son That Pleases the Father

DAY 13 OF 30

THE HEIGHT OF DIVINE PLEASURE: SUBMISSION TO THE FATHER’S WILL (2)

The devil is the master behind the doctrine of men that every man has a price. The devil offered the throne of Egypt to Moses, but the Bible says that Moses preferred the insult of the anointed (to go with the people of God) to the throne of Egypt. What is the devil bargaining for in your life? No wonder Paul said he counted the things that were gains to him as losses to win Christ (Php. 3:7).

I tell young ministers, who are seeking to acquire the anointing, that the problem is that many of them are naturally capable men. The ministry work they are engaged in is spiritual, yet they are getting increasingly empty spiritually while growing mentally. What demand will Jesus make of you today that will be too weighty for you? Write those things down as the Holy Spirit highlights them to you.

Genesis 6:3

3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh…

This means that the Spirit of God will strive with you where your will is not yet surrendered to God’s, but not forever. The will of God could be for a man to say sorry to his wife and end the quarrel they had been having for months, yet the man might insist on not apologising to his wife.

I want you to do a personal Bible study on the subject of the will of the Father. Check all the things that the Bible says concerning the will of God and use them to assess your Christian walk.

PRAYER: I will not strive with the Spirit of God. I surrender and yield to God’s will now and always, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
