Christ has overcome. He overcame those who tried to discredit him. He overcame those who threatened him. He overcame those who tried to out-speak him. He overcame those who killed him. Jesus overcame death and the grave. John says you will too. Because the Spirit of Jesus who lives in you is greater than any other power in the world (1 John 4:4). It might not always look like it. Some might not find it convincing. But John has seen it and knows it. He invites you to listen to him.
