God’s Promises for SolopreneursSample
Promise: God Gives You Rest and Strength
There were times in business when there was so much work that I had to fight for rest. There were also times I would endlessly worry about how I was going to find any paid assignments—my calendar might’ve been empty, but my mind was jam-packed.
Tides are often high and low in business, and nothing is more important than putting our trust in the Lord, leaning into Him, and letting go.
Easier said than done, right?
You feel responsible for your business, and in the end, you need food on the table. Yet, I found out that every time I prayed a long overdue prayer—mostly paired with sobbing—Jesus told me that He cared: about the food on the table, my anxieties, all of it. And in the midst of surrendering my burdens, sorrows, and worries, in return, He offered me something extremely valuable: rest. Sometimes physically, sometimes mentally, sometimes both.
But Jesus goes even beyond that. When you let go of what holds you captive, you receive more than rest. You also feel refueled, energized, and ready to get back in the saddle. All the weariness turns into peace and strength.
Rest, peace (out of this world), and strength through the Holy Spirit are the solid ground you can depart from and go back to. God promised to give you all of that, especially when times are hard, worrisome, or even if you wander away.
These guarantees are always there for you. God is ready with wide-open arms to fulfill His promises to you and send you back into the field with rest and strength.
Blessings,
Jane
