Send Me!
By Ps Tim Ault
Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here I am. Send me!”
In our spiritual walk we experience moments that mark us to the core of who we are. God wants to break down every mindset, ideology or stronghold that limits us from seeing Him for who He really is. Isaiah the prophet is commissioned by God in the book of Isaiah chapter 6 to be a representative and messenger to Israel, but there’s always a common precedent that takes place in our life before God sends us to reach our world.
Moses encountered God through a burning bush, Paul encountered God on the road to Damascus and Isaiah encountered God in a heavenly vision of the throne room. Standing in God’s presence, Isaiah was made painfully aware of his sin but God’s holiness in the form of a burning coal purifies him of his sin (Isaiah 6:6-7). We need the conviction of the Holy Spirit, when God reveals and exposes things in our life, it’s not to bring condemnation (a feeling of guilt and shame) but to bring salvation (John 3:17). So often we feel unworthy or unqualified to share the Gospel but it’s in the refining process God deals with our reservations and fills us with boldness and power to outwork the assignment He has for us. It was after this radical encounter that something rises up within Isaiah to respond to the call. With boldness he responds, “Here I am. Send me”. He immediately desired to serve the Lord in whatever way possible. God is looking for willing, passionate, enthusiastic volunteers in His service (Romans 12:11). The greatest ability we have to offer is our availability. Similar to soldiers awaiting deployment, we are the rescue party being sent to heal and restore the brokenness of humanity.
Don’t let past mistakes determine how you approach God. We are the hands and feet of Jesus and if we come to God with a repentant heart, He will prepare us and commission us to make a difference. We can’t afford to live like the world or talk like the world but through our lifestyle, we bring glory to His name.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your presence guiding and leading us. I pray Your Spirit would bring conviction to any unsurrendered areas of our life so we can serve You and be commissioned to reach our world. Help us to live a lifestyle that glorifies Your name and draws people closer in relationship with You, Amen.

About this Plan
We are spiritual beings living an earthly experience, our lives shouldn't reflect the pattern of this world but rather the reality of Jesus. As believers, we're called to go against the grain, speak the truth in love, live a lifestyle that brings glory to His name. We are Outsiders! Join us as we explore the theme "Outsiders" in our YASociety Lifegroups.
