Trusting God During Marital HardshipSample
Looking Within
Have you ever asked God why answering your prayers takes so long? I have. I remember questioning God during year ten of our marriage, the season of hardship. God's response is something that I'll never forget. He said I've been trying to fix it, but you quickly pick it back up whenever you lay it at my feet. He said, your husband is my son before he's your husband. It's not your job to fix him. Your faith in me and your actions will shift the atmosphere.
At that moment, I realized that my behavior had to change, especially my words. I knew I had to release my will to see God's will manifest. I am a witness that changed behavior changes behavior. However, change can only happen once you change.
Remember, you are not alone in this. God is with you and wants you to rely on Him. He wants you to know that His strength is made perfect in your weaknesses. His word is true, and He always keeps His promises.
Action: After reading 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, re-read and replace love with your name. Ask yourself, am I showing God’s love even in this season of hardship?
