The Parent's Battle Plan

DAY 1 OF 5

The Battle Begins

There is a major battle being waged over our children and, consequently, against our entire family, and we often cannot foresee the traps that have been set. We are often so focused on what is the best that when the worst arrives, it is absolutely unexpected. We never envision our children being arrested or fighting depression that is so deeply engrained that, for them, suicidal thoughts are a daily occurrence. We just do not see any of it coming.

No matter what we are facing with our children, there is one fact to which we can cling during our lowest times. Our children belonged to God before they were lent to us. When we were busy dreaming about what color hair or what gender our baby was going to be, God already knew. There is a huge difference between what we did and what He did to usher them into the world. God literally called them into existence.

God is all-seeing and all-knowing. Nothing exists outside of Him, and nothing happens without His knowledge. This means every human, including our child, has a relationship with his or her Creator from pre-birth to the afterlife. It is truly an eternal partnership. If God brought our children into existence, then it follows suit that He specifically entrusted them to us. He intends for us to love and care for them throughout their lives. There is no doubt that, as parents, we all try to do that. Some of our children, however, run interference with an unseen enemy that can alter their paths greatly. Depending on how much they listen to our advice versus how much they listen to outside influences, staying hopeful on behalf of our children may seem impossible.

And that is just what dark influences would have us do. It is our job not to go down the proverbial rabbit hole with our children. We are, instead, to choose to fight to bring them back into our plane of existence. Although we may be tempted to give up or feel we have failed, God still believes in our ability to walk with them. He will give us the strength to get through it all.

God has always had a purpose for our children’s lives, just as we have. The dreams we have for our children have not been in vain. His promises are still in force, and they are not going anywhere.

About this Plan

The Parent's Battle Plan

There is nothing more important than the success of our family, particularly our children. We are in a war, but not with our teens and young adults. There is a darkness in the world that is enticing our children to step into paths of destruction. The good news is that there are strategies to win back our children. Join us to develop a battle plan!
