The 20/20 Experience

DAY 6 OF 7

"To Know Him: Know That He Lives"

If you are alive, then you know that life can be difficult. Some days are great, but some days are just hard. There can be days or even long seasons of financial struggles, family tension, uncertainty, sickness, or loneliness.

Struggles rarely come when we expect them and can leave us feeling crippled and defeated. They leave us feeling we’ve lost control and wondering where to turn. We’ve all experienced difficulties in life, but what if there was a way to feel secure instead of crippled and defeated when hard times come?

We can all learn something about walking through the struggles of life from the story of Job. Job was considered upright and blameless. He was a really good guy, and all of a sudden his life started to fall apart. In one conversation, Job was told that all of his children had died and all of his livestock had been stolen or killed. Then Job became sick with sores all over his body.

Shockingly, in the midst of loss and pain, Job declared that despite everything that was happening, he knew God was still in control and, in the end, God would get the victory. He knew God was alive and had a plan for his life.

The same is true for you. Despite what life throws your way, you can know that God is alive and, in the end, he will redeem and restore what is broken. Today, what would it look like for you to know that God is alive and in control?

About this Plan

The 20/20 Experience

The lens through which we see the world is crucial. The way we see the world often determines our satisfaction in life. The same could be said of our faith. The way we see faith, Jesus, and our pursuit of Him shapes our satisfaction in life. Join us as we spend seven days looking at the lenses of our lives, knowing Jesus, and the goal we seek as Christians.
