DAY 2 OF 6

With the Love You Give Me, I Love You

One of the best ways we know how to engage with God is to converse with Him–with the Father, with Jesus, or with Holy Spirit. Now, let’s break down this week’s message to you: When you revisit the first two paragraphs (see the first day of this plan), what does your heart have to say to God in response?

Here is one take:

Father, you tell me there is a weight to me–that I am substantial in significance to You. In other words, You think I am valuable, meaningful, important, special, beyond earthly measure. You say what you see in me is beyond time, and You have always loved me, always chosen me. Even when you were making the earth, you had already been loving me.

You are pleased with me. You are pleased with me. You are pleased with me.

That is a lot to take in, Father. Part of me, if I’m honest, wants to brush it aside. For your love is a love so great I can only try to fathom it, and I fall short. I fall short in contemplating the depth of love You have for me, let alone responding in hand.

As I close my eyes now, as I let my imagination picture You, as I open my heart, my hands, and my mind, I will let your love settle upon me. I will remember your love for me–it will be resurrected. Show me all the ways your love for me has been forgotten, and you are, with your words, bringing it to life again.

Come now, Father. Come now, Jesus. Come now, Holy Spirit. You love me. You love me. You love me. With love, You give me I love You. I love You. I love You. Amen.

How do you picture God’s love for you?

About this Plan

Into Something Deeper: The Gift of Abundant Grace

You are not ordinary. In fact, in God's eyes, you are extraordinary. You matter to him in ways our human minds struggle to comprehend - but it's true, dear one. This 6 day plan helps us understand how God sees us, what he designed us for, and he wants us to know about the gifts he's given us.
