Kingdom Marketing Mindset for AuthorsSample
Business Meetings with God
Business meetings with God will transform the way you do marketing when you implement them consistently.
Think of it as a spiritual date with God. The key is hearing and recognizing God’s voice.
Our lack of success in marketing is not usually about a lack of information. I think we will all agree that we’re often on information overload.
King David was known to be a man after God’s own heart (1 Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22). As Kingdom writers, this should be our focus as well. As we seek God’s heart, we are in a position to receive direction for our books and business.
As our hearts stay tender toward the Lord, we will find ourselves relating to these beautiful words penned by David,
“My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.” – Psalm 27:8 (NLT)
A lot of writers are disappointed in their results but aren’t willing to put in the time and energy to hear God’s strategy and/or implement what He shows them.
“Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God.” – Proverbs 2:2-5 (NLT, Emphasis mine)
Tuning, concentrating, crying out, asking, searching, seeking. These words describe someone who is after God’s very heart. There is action involved. Like a person digging for precious gems, how much better is receiving God’s insight and wisdom!
The more we get to know someone, the more we want to spend time with them. Knowledge of God leads to greater reverence and awe for WHO He is.
God gave Noah a very specific blueprint for the ark and he followed it exactly (Genesis 6).
We have seen over and over that as we spend intentional time seeking God’s strategy for our business, He reveals to us the next steps.
Ask Him, “God, what is the best use of my time and energy today?”
