THE IMAGE OF GOD'S WOMAN

The Creator God fashioned mankind in His image as both male and female. The definition of the word image is a physical likeness or representation of a person, animal, or thing, photographed, painted, sculptured, or otherwise made visible (Dictionary.com). In short, we are a visible reflection of God's invisible reality.

God's woman, has submitted her life to Christ and allows Him to manifest His glory through her to the world. Life events may affect our self-image as well as how we believe others may perceive us. However, God sees us as his unique masterpiece and a special treasure.

Psalm 139:14 tells us we are wonderfully made. The word wonderfully, as translated from the Hebrew word 'palah' means to be distinct, marked out, separated, and distinguished. The Lord God created us carefully, thoughtfully, and with purpose.

Proverbs 31:10 asks the question, "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies." The word virtuous refers to a woman of strength, might, efficiency, wealth...a force to be reckoned with. God's image of His woman is of one who is capable, resourceful, and formidable.

As we embrace who we are in Christ and comprehend the depth of being created in God's image, our journey to reach our full potential in Him will become unwavering.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, help me to look beyond my human frailty and to walk in the peace and joy of knowing I am created in Your image, a reflection, and representation of You, the Almighty God.
