The Birth of the Christian Church

DAY 15 OF 20

Agabus had prophesied that Paul would be bound and taken captive if he went to Jerusalem. Paul knew God had called him to return to the Holy City. Paul’s ultimate calling was to visit Rome, and that calling was fulfilled by all that happened in Jerusalem. Luke accompanied Paul to Jerusalem and was a witness to all that took place in the final chapters of Acts. Paul will stand trial five different times during his two-year imprisonment. Each time, Paul will defend himself against the accusations made by the Jewish people. Luke makes it clear that while the Jewish hostility increased, so did Paul’s favor with the Gentile population.

As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9)

Dan 14Dan 16
