Deeply Loved

There’s no greater love story than that of Christ’s sacrifice to gain our eternal souls. Let’s unpack that story together: In the beginning, God created us, gave us free will, granted us dominion on earth, and we betrayed Him. Mankind (created in His image) did the one thing we were told not to do in the Garden of Eden. He still loves us dearly despite our betrayal.

Next, mankind sinned so much that He had to cleanse the earth with a catastrophic flood. He saved the righteous few and gave us a rainbow covenant to remind all that He will never do that again. He still loves us dearly.

Then, by way of Moses, He miraculously saved His chosen people from centuries of slavery and captivity, gave them rules and statutes to follow to cleanse them of sin daily, and they still failed to acknowledge Him or obey His commands. He still loves His chosen ones.

Finally, His chosen people are led to a beautiful land of “milk and honey.” God appointed prophets, judges, and kings to lead His people, and they did not return His love or follow His laws. He still loves them.

Lastly, God sent His only Son to the world to teach and guide us in the flesh. We mocked Him, tortured Him, and put Him to death. He STILL loves us so much that by simply believing in His Son’s death and resurrection in exchange for our sins, God forgives us, and we can still spend eternity in Heaven with Him. That’s LOVE! That’s how much He loves YOU!
