Liar, Liar Cant's on Fire: Lies Told by the Enemy

DAY 1 OF 7

In addition to a natural, physical realm, we live in a supernatural, spiritual realm confronted by an enemy we cannot see. We are in constant opposition with a devil that comes to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). His purpose is to create doubt in our minds of who God is and what He says about us. He is not a professional liar because he’s bad at it. His main purpose is to create separation between a loving God and us.

Much of our battle consists of resisting and overcoming doubt of our capabilities. We question our significance and whether we have a purpose. We play games within our own minds, toiling with daily fears and insecurities. These daily doubts and fears stem from the darkness and evil of a supernatural realm where our enemy attempts to remind us of our flaws and sins. The only way to fight evil is with good and dispel lies with the truth. God’s word and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit extinguish the spark ignited by the devil.

Our enemy likes to remind us of what we CAN’T do or what we CAN’T accomplish. He attempts to magnify our limitations and failures intended to stifle our progress and purpose. This Bible plan will expose a few of the “cant’s” that confront us and the truth within the scriptures that penetrates those lies (Hebrews 4:12). The sooner we identify our enemy and his attacks, the sooner we create a battle plan and understand the victory we are designed to experience. God is good, He has a specific plan for us, and His word is true about us. We are created to win.

CHALLENGE:

Acknowledge the devil as an enemy and engage in war against him.

Dan 2
