Discover the Power of Prayer

DAY 4 OF 7

Spiritual power drinks 🍷

Have you ever tasted the power drink from heaven? Prayer will help you receive the real power drink.

The Bible encourages us to “Taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” (Psalm 34:8, NKJV) Jesus said, “‘This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’” (Luke 22:19, NKJV) Although these verses sound kind of weird, they contain spiritual truths that can empower your life forever.

I work out several times a week. Health is one of my core values, but I find power drinks confusing. Although they have become a billion-dollar industry, I’m just not sure power drinks are very healthy. Is there a better way to get power?

Do you need more power? Maybe you need power to run your business or raise your family. Or maybe you need power to resist a particular temptation? To be honest with you, I believe we are all looking for more power in order to accomplish significant things with our lives.

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He made this bold promise: “‘Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.’” (Luke 24:49, NKJV)

Do you know the five types of power God wants to give you? Which one or ones will you ask for?

  1. “Exousia” is divine authority for daily life.
  2. “Dunamis” is the explosive, miracle-working power of God.
  3. “Energia” is energy from God.
  4. “Ischuos” is the strength to accomplish great things.
  5. “Kratos” is the power to influence and have dominion.

God loves you, and He wants to empower you with the power of the resurrection. Real power comes from the One who raised Jesus from the dead, not from an energy drink from the store. God’s power is available to you because you are a miracle.
