How to Be a Christian in Your Work and Society?Sample
Can you be led by the Spirit?
Do you believe God has called you to your career? Do you believe He led you to that company, school, ballet troupe, or sports arena for a purpose?
I’m convinced most Christians have never asked themselves that question or answered it. Would you like to have a little fun today? Let’s ask ourselves the question and try to answer it. We might need to get a little counseling, coaching, or take gift tests of some sort to discover our gifts. But if you are willing to embark on this journey of discovery, I’m convinced you will get your answers and your life will change.
Psalms 139 clearly reveals that “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.” (Psalms 139:16, NKJV) Before you ever breathed a breath on Earth, God had already charted a course for your life, career, and good works. It’s already written in a book in heaven. Isn’t that crazy?
So to accomplish this amazing plan, you will have to take three important steps:
- You’ll need to commit to a God plan and not your plan. It requires total surrender and saying, “‘...nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.’” (Luke 22:42, NKJV)
- You will need to commit to transforming your mind: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2, NIV) It’s difficult to live the perfect plan of God if your thinking stinks. It will take you some time and effort, but God will help you on this journey.
- You’ll need to commit to being led by the Spirit of God. “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.” (Romans 8:14, NIV) Wow! You become a true son or daughter of God when you are led by the Spirit.
It’s very clear in the Bible that God wants to lead you by His Spirit. He wants to help you enter into your true destiny and make an impact in ways that are seen and unseen.
Because you are a miracle.
