Target: Aiming To Focus On God

DAY 2 OF 5

Disobedience is one of the many factors that could possibly contribute in one losing focus on God’s targeted plan for their life. There will be individuals who intentionally seek to distract, restrain, and reroute you from fulfilling God’s plan for your life. Our aim is to ask and receive God’s wisdom, guidance, protection, provision,  and covering in prayer, praise, and obedience so that we will be equipped to hit the intended targets God has for us.

When God gives us instructions to complete a task, we are to complete them. Even if the task comes with directions that are above our understanding, trusting God is paramount as we focus on him to bring his plan into fruition.  We are not to lose focus on God’s commands despite the distractions of a person’s religion, conversation, relation, and similarities.

Hit the target and press forward and trust God to work everything out.

The LORD commanded a man of God in scripture to fulfill the task God set out for him and to not eat bread or drink water, nor return by the way he came. This man of God was to resist eating and drinking in the place that included receiving hospitality from anyone. But a prophet distracted the man of God and went after him and encouragingly persuaded the man of God that he was too a prophet, and an angel of the LORD spoke to him saying to bring him back to his house to eat bread and drink water, but this prophet lied to him.

Unfortunately, the man of God disobeyed God’s command and entertained the prophet’s distraction that appeared to share the same religious background, conversation, relation, and similarities. His disobedience cost him his life.   One might ask why did the prophet lie to the man of God, but our focus is not on why he did it, our focus is to obey God’s commands for our lives no matter who serves as the distractor.

There might be some people you will not be able to eat with any longer. If God has commanded you to leave a different way than which you came, follow his directives because he has a targeted plan for your life.

Aim to Focus on God’s Targeted Plan for your life.

Focus on Him, not the distractions.

Dan 1Dan 3
