DAY 3 OF 8

LEAD WITH LOVE AND CARE

Growing in God teaches us to serve others, care for others, and love others.

1 John 4:7-8 says, “Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”

When we abide in God, He will teach us how to truly love the people we are leading. Our hearts begin to care for people that are hurting and care if they are healed. We care if they are in need and we care if they have overcome. We grow in showing love through our words, but we also show love in how we treat and serve others. Love is our WHY. It’s why we lead. It’s the reason we have new life.

Jesus was the best leader and Jesus led with love. It was why He came, died, and rose again. Jesus’ love was what made Him the Good Shepherd. Jesus loved, cared, and served His sheep. He cared so much that He laid down His life for us. John 10: 11 states, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.”  What an amazing way to love.

Dying to ourselves will become our desire as a leader as we grow in our relationship with Christ. We don’t strive to stand out by how beautiful we are, how talented we are, how much authority we have, or because of our wealth or network. We stand out by how we love and how we care for others. We stand out by how much God’s light shines through us because of His love. Our love, care, and servanthood must be genuine, authentic, passionate, full of grace, and from the Father because Jesus was genuine, authentic, passionate, and full of grace and truth. Lead with love.

About this Plan

SoulSister:Lead

Godly leaders don’t give in to the culture of self or this world, but take directives only from the true living God and follow the life of His son, Jesus Christ. Christ wants to be at the center of our leadership and development; character, compassion, communication, consideration, consistency, community, and the way we love, care, and serve others. Join us on this 8 day study of godly leadership.
