God's Plan and Promises for His PeopleSample
What promises accompany God's plan for our spiritual growth?
God's promises to fulfill his plans always accompany those plans. God's plan is for each believer to grow spiritually. Latch onto some of these promises to speed you on your way to spiritual maturity.
John 14:16,17: "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."
II Corinthians 9:8: "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, have an abundance for every good work."
Ephesians 4:14, 15: "That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine,.. . But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ."
Hebrews 13:20,21: "Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead ... make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ."
II Peter 1:5-8: "Add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."
These are powerful promises. God never conceives of a plan without providing the power to accomplish it. He wants us to grow spiritually. That's His plan, and those are His promises.
