Game Changer (Week 1)Sample
READ:
‘Noah’s Ark’ in Genesis 6-9
Can you remember the dove had returned to the Ark with an olive leaf in his beak and Noah knew that the dove had found dry land.
The Ark had settled on a mountain and when it was safe for Noah and his family, God told Noah to leave the Ark. Noah and his family praised God.
ASK:
When we read in the bible about God’s people praising Him, what do you think this means?
Giving God praise is a way of saying thank you. We are letting God know that we are grateful for Him.
Just like when we thank our family and other people for all that they do for us, this lets them know how grateful we are.
Praising God is also a way of remembering that God can do so much more than we or anyone else can. It puts God in the middle of everything because it helps us remember that He gives us everything.
Can you think of a creative way to praise God today?
Also who can you be grateful for and even maybe say thank you to today?
REMEMBER:
Psalm 9:1
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
SAY:
My God is good,
He is awesome and great.
He helps me be strong,
Even when I’m afraid.
I will say thank you,
For all He has done.
For me and my people,
He loves everyone.
About this Plan
Through scripture and well-known bible stories we’ll explore how "Everything is a Gift" is about having an attitude of gratitude. We pray that children will grasp that God loves a grateful heart and that we have so much that we can be grateful for.
