Headed for HeavenSample
In the End, You Win!
Here’s some good news today: when your life on this planet is all said and done, you win! The Bible promises that after you’ve lived your life to the fullest, you are headed for heaven.
Second Corinthians 5:8 says, “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” As a Christian, when you leave your earthly body behind, you can be confident of going to heaven and being present with God for all eternity!
The Bible says that now, here on earth, you see spiritual things dimly, with only partial understanding, but in heaven, you’ll see and understand things. Not only that, but you’ll see Jesus face to face!
We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us! --1 Cor. 13:12, the message
Right now you may have a lot of questions for God. “What in the world is going on? Where are You in all this chaos? Why did You allow this to take place?” I know some people who say that when they get to heaven, they’re going to ask God why this certain thing happened, or why this other thing didn’t happen the way they prayed.
And while God no doubt has answers, I think many of those questions will fall away once you get to heaven.
Because, for starters, you’ll automatically understand things you don’t understand now. In heaven you will no longer be limited by the fallen and finite nature of this life.
And for another thing, heaven is going to be so wonderful that your questions—things you thought were so important here on earth—will no longer register. You simply won’t care as you enjoy an atmosphere of complete love, health, and peace.

About this Plan
In today’s world, it’s vital to remember where we’re ultimately going to end up, so we can be a shining light and unafraid. If you’re born again, you’re headed for heaven when you leave this earth! So keep your eyes on the prize and keep your joy. It’s time to live in God’s peace and boldly tell others how they, too, can make heaven their eternal home.
