Year of Yes

DAY 4 OF 5

We need a change of perspective!

When we carry our cross, our perspective is changed. Living beside Jesus would have given the disciples an “up close and personal” vantage point of different people, places, and circumstances.

Being alongside the sick, the sinful, the outcast, even those who we disagree with, enables us to change our perspective of Christian brothers and sisters. They, too, are made in the image of God. They, too, have the opportunity to follow Jesus. They, too, have the opportunity to encounter His Spirit in a fresh way.

We can live with eternal perspective, with an awareness of Christ’s desire to encounter all of humanity. Experiencing Jesus’s nature would have led many to follow Him.

We cannot live out a life of obedience without surrender to Kingdom perspective. There is no one who is able to give passion, purpose, and perspective, but Jesus.

QUESTIONS

Do you view the world and our human condition through the eyes of Jesus or through a secular narrative?

Do we see challenging people as our opposition or as image bearers? Pray for your perspective to shift...
